See this sweatshirt?

See this sweatshirt?

My friend Hope and I both bought one just like it from Walmart to bleach dip dye, only to realize after trying to bleach dip dye said sweatshirt that is was a 50/50 cotton-poly blend which equals bad news and no bleaching. [You can shed a tear here if you would like.]

So this sweatshirt sat in my room for a solid week and waited patiently for me to decide what I wanted to do with it.

Days passed and the rising sun came and went as the lonely sweatshirt collected dust in my closet.

Then. It came to me...via Pinterest [of course].

I put together a couple ideas I had seen in my head to give you...

THE SHORT SLEEVED HOODIE.

I would say it's a fairly drastic makeover.

I cut the sleeves, rolled em' up, adjusted the arms so I didn't have huge bat wings, trimmed off the bottom, turned the left over sleeve scraps into a hood, and finished the raw edges off with a clean straight stitch just in case it wanted to try and fray on me in the wash.

And they say sundays are lazy. Pshhh...
[Just kidding though because 3/4 of my sunday was me in my room watching Friday Night Lights on Netflix.]

I swear creativity just randomly slaps you in the face sometimes and says, "Hey YOU! Yeah you! Turn this into this RIGHT NOW before I decide to give someone else the idea!" So right then you stop gazing into Tim Riggins' [FNL reference] eyes and whip out your sewing machine and sew up a storm.

But maybe that's just me.

Especially the Tim Riggins' part. [P.S. I think he gets out of jail next episode!!!!!!]

Hope your sunday has been a lazy one.

p&B.
